At any stage in the process, either individual items or a group of items can be saved within the software’s clipart library for use in future projects. Any part of the design can be isolated, edited and then recombined into a group for duplication or further editing within the group. This technique allows previously-created reliefs to be selected and then moved, rotated, rescaled and copied, either individually or as part of a group. The main addition in the latest release of ArtCAM JewelSmith is a new way of working called ‘Free Relief Modelling’. The new release of ArtCAM JewelSmith makes it much easier to create complex designs that give pieces with the greatest impact, especially those that include repeated elements that are similar, but not identical, within the design. Delcam will demonstrate the latest version of its ArtCAM JewelSmith software for the design and manufacture of rings, broaches, cufflinks and other jewellery at JCK exhibition to be held in Las Vegas from 31st May to 3rd June.
